Digital Media

 One thing thats awesome to me is how the new AI on adobe and the ones coming out allow you to enhance an image that is very pixelated. The reason I am so awestruck by this is the fact that they are seamlessly making something out of nothing but the colors around it and yet it always looks so realistic. Being in digital media (although its a chore to get up at 8 a.m.) makes me look at the world a different way and see things based off their potential and not where their at. I have seen more beauty in things and I have understood the hard-work it takes to make things that some people consider super easy.  While I really like this class I need to keep pushing myself to do my best in it. 

 Im just gonna start off by saying that this is not gonna be a regular blog post.  Gasparilla is mid. While most people in Tampa may disagree I see it as an overhyped event, most likely due to the vast amount of people moving to Tampa and experiencing it for the first time. The reason I thought it was mid was because the parade kept getting postponed hours at a time and didn't start until 4 hours after it was supposed to. and unless you go to a frat lot where you have to pay over 50 bucks to get in and even then it isnt a lot of fun. The only thing that does make the day enjoyable is wandering the city very intoxicated with a close group of friends. 

 While In my CSC 102 class we began working on a room adventure game, me and my two group mates decided that we were gonna do a bank heist game and because of the code we have available to us we are able to put pictures and audio files into the game. So instantly I started to use mid journey to get pictures for out heist. The opening of the whole game involves getting to a bank and hacking into an atm. I am so excited to see where this project goes. 

 I really like the midjouney AI and I've had a lot of fun with it. At first I didn't think it was worth spending the money on it but as I kept using it I realized how much potential it has. I started to make pictures for my friends and I can't wait to see what we are going to do with this tool in class. So far I haven't made too many crazy things but all my friends that I have showed to to have ideas on things that they've always pictured but were never able to see until they put it into the generator and got almost exactly what they wanted. 

 While playing xbox today I realized how much effort it takes to make some of the games that I play on the daily. Everyone who gets impatient with game developers and the graphic designers don't fully understand the days it takes to make things especially in games like Rainbow Six. Where they go through great lengths to make the game setting/environment as close to realistic and a place you seem like you could visit.  I wonder how easy it will be to make games in the future...

As I was siting in class listening to everyone talk it reassured me that not everyone has a lot of experience with multi media so I feel like I'm not that far behind. I switched into this class 30 minutes before it started because I really wanted to take prof. Stephen. I am looking forward to this class and I cant wait to learn more. I am excited for this class and from what I've heard it should be a lot of fun.
