Editing Photos

I think it is always fun to tell when someone photoshops themself to look a way they want, but don't take the time to fix the background they messed up. I don't like to physically photoshop myself but I do have fun playing with the lighting on certain images because it's usually really cool or really stupid and funny but either way it is a fun time.  Unrelated note I benched 225 for the first time today and I incline benched 205 as-well. I worked on my portrait piece and the image I chose was of my girlfriend, that was a bad choice. Every time she came in to check on me she ALWAYS had something to say about how I was messing up her face but she was just messing with me. I like the portrait I made and I think i'm gonna try to redo it when I learn more with illustrator.

Digital Media In the Gym

The digital media we encounter at the gym can have a powerful impact on our mindset and behavior. The logos and branding on gym equipment create a sense of belonging and association with the values and goals of that brand or gym. Televisions playing content can inspire us or reinforce our commitment to health and wellness. We can be mindful of the logos and branding we see and intentional about the content we watch. By choosing content that inspires us or reinforces our commitment to health and wellness, we can make the most of these distractions and use them to motivate us towards our fitness goals. So next time you're at the gym, take a moment to consider the logos and branding around you and see how they can inspire and motivate you towards a healthier lifestyle.

Photoshop fun

My brother owns a business that sells pre workout in the form of a taffy, rather than going to a professional because he doesn't wanna spend money if he doesn't have to, he decided to ask me to try and help him make his brands mascot. So we hopped on a call for a few hours and this is what we came up with, His name is tuffy the taffy and he comes in all colors. I think it looks good on the packaging and it was fun to help him make it.

Time on Projects

One of the most frustrating things across all my classes is time management, I work almost 30 hours a week to keep myself financially independent so that I do not put too much pressure on my family but I also know first and foremost is my schooling. However one of the most frustrating things is trying to manage time and the plans I make to schedule things never go right, and a wrench always gets thrown in my daily schedule. However I still believe that even if you have no effort to give the most important thing is to keep showing up. One of the biggest time stealing culprits are coding projects, sometimes you're reading through 200 lines of code to look for the one letter that kept you reading and rereading for hours. Sometimes the application system is helpful and shows you where the error might be and other times you just mess up so bad that when you fix the main issue you get 20 more little ones. Debugging is a love hate relationship.

Using other creative cloud applications

Using my access through UT, I started to play around with other apps like Lightroom and photoshop on my phone. Both are fun, I use photoshop when im bored and just want to mess around and make cool homescreens, and I use light room to edit pictures of me at the gym so that there is better lighting and I pop more, I plan on continuing to try new stuff out and having fun when I'm not busy working.  Sorry for the short journal entry not sure what else to really write.

Photoshop

Since I've started this class I've learned a lot about how photoshop works and I must say while its fun, it makes me wanna rip out my hair sometimes when something goes haywire and I can't figure out how to undo it. But like all new things, can get very frustrating very fast unless you can just do it very easily. I look forward to continue working with it as every project we have I learn more and more. I am however glad that the jobs I would enjoy having in my field do not have to do with photoshop as I do not think I could handle doing it professionally.

The future of Digital Media

One thing I find myself thinking about a lot recently is the future of digital media and how within the next 10-15 years there might not be a huge need for digital media, while this is based purely in fiction in my brain I think it would be really cool if we could link people up to an AI to create whatever they see in their mind, Imagine thinking of the most beautiful landscape ever and when you open your eyes its done right in front of you. I just think it would be cool and I can't wait to see where science and technology take us in the next few decades, hopefully to a safer world and not a more chaotic one too, but lets be for real right.

The Way AI are made

Something I learned recently is that we don't actually program 1 AI at a time. For example, say you wanted an AI that can tell the difference between a blue car and a red one. You would make an AI teacher and an AI maker, now neither of these ai are particularly intelligent. They are only here to make more AI and test them. The first round of tests would begin and the teacher AI would take the AI that the maker made, test them with a test of over a million questions that have pictures of red cars and blue cars, then the AI with the highest test scores would go back to the maker and it would use that AI's composition to make millions of copies of it, each one slightly more different than the next, and this process would repeat until an AI is able to predict with the upmost accuracy. However humans still do not know how the AI's "Brain" thinks but to be fair we barely understand how our brains are wired as everyones is different.
